Funeral services for Charles H. Nettles, ofBrookhaven, were 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service, with burial in Arlington Baptist ChurchCemetery.

    Visitation was Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Mr. Nettles, 87, died Oct. 23, 2011, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Bude on March 6, 1924, to Harvey AllenNettles and Mary Magdalene Wactor Nettles.

    He was a plumber/pipefitter and a member of Arlington BaptistChurch. He loved the outdoors and was a truejack-of-all-trades.  

    Preceding him in death were his wife, Dorothy Nettles; parents;daughter, Joyce Elaine Sykes; brother, Floyd Nettles; sisters,Doris Rayburn, Mildred Nations and Katie Jean O’Neal.

    Survivors are his son, Greg Nettles and wife, Rebecca; daughter,Charlotte Nichols and husband, Nick; brother, Rayford Nettles andwife, Joyce; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and threegreat great-grandchildren.
