Funeral services for D.B. Watson, ofWesson, were 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, at Mt. Zion BaptistChurch, with burial in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Stringer FamilyFuneral Services was in charge of arrangements.

    Mr. Watson, 92, died Oct. 28, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson.

    He was a native and lifelong resident of Copiah County except for atime served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Mt.Zion Baptist Church.

    Preceding him in death were his wife, Nancy Minton Watson; andsons, Charles David and Damon Bobby Watson.

    Survivors are his sons, C.L. Watson and wife, Wilma, of Clearwater,Fla., Johnnie B. Watson and wife, Gladys, of Lebanon, Tenn., StevieThomas Watson and wife, Cynthia, of Wesson, George Andy Watson andwife, Becky, of Wesson, James Roan Portrey and wife, Darlene, ofWesson, Michael Joe Portrey and wife, Angela, of Brookhaven, andHugh Daniel Watson and wife, Kaylon, of Wesson; daughters, DorisAnn Watson, of Wesson, and Laura Lorraine Hall and husband, Don, ofWesson; sisters, Bernice Cline, of Wesson, and Georgia Mae Carr, ofClinton; 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
