Funeral services for Peggy Sims, of CrystalSprings, are 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Crystal SpringsUnited Methodist Church, with burial in Crystal Springs Cemetery.Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is in charge ofarrangements.

    Visitation is Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

    Mrs. Sims, 85, died Dec. 18, 2011, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. She was born on Oct. 12, 1926.

    She grew up in McComb and Brookhaven and was a resident of CrystalSprings for the last 48 years. She worked as a bookkeeper for thelocal newspaper, The Meteor, for many years.

    Preceding her in death was her husband, Harry Gibson Sims Jr.

    Survivors are her daughter, Virginia Ann Sims, of Crystal Springs;son, Harry G. Sims III, of Brandon; daughter-in-law, Tammy M. Sims;grandchildren, Tyler G. Sims, of Canton, R. Spencer Sims, of MillValley, Calif, and Sarah A. Sims, of Brandon; sister, Lewise Peets,of Brookhaven; brother, James Harrington, of Brookhaven; and twonieces.
