Graveside services for Inez Dixon, of Brookhaven, are 9a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

 

    Mrs. Dixon, 89, died Dec. 22, 2011, at Golden Living Center. Shewas born in Mississippi on Feb. 28, 1922, to Henry T. and HattieDurr Smith.

    She was a schoolteacher and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.She served in the army during World War II.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; daughter, LucySandra Calcote; seven sisters; and two brothers.

    Survivors are her sisters, Louise Hackler and Louis Davis; threegrandchildren, Cara Calcote Bondly, Wade Andrew Calcote and AdamEdgar Calcote; and three great-grandchildren.
