The incidents happened across the west side of town, from therailroad tracks to as far as Tanglewood, according to the incidentreports.

Henderson said the vehicles appear to have been shot late at nightand early in the morning. All vehicles were parked, and as far asHenderson knows, no one was in any of the vehicles when they werehit.

“We’re taking this very serious,” he said. “Once we catch them, which we will catch them, we’ll take the appropriate action.”

Henderson said 16 of the reports came in Thursday and by 8 a.m.Friday, 14 more reports had come in, with most being found by BPDofficers. Because of the number of incidents and the highfrequency, Henderson said he believes there is more than onevandal.

“They may think this is a joke, but this is not a joke to thepolice department, and it is not a joke to the property owners,” hesaid.

If anyone has any information on the vehicle vandalism cases, theyare asked to contact BPD at 601-833-2424.
