Funeral services for Carla M. Bowman, ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at Little BahalaBaptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    Visitation is Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

    Mrs. Bowman, 78, peacefully passed away on Jan. 10, 2012, at GoldenLiving Center. She was born in Brookhaven on July 10, 1933, to Thadand Loucyle Bowman.

    She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and pursued a careerat LSU in New Orleans, then at the University of South Florida,Tampa, where she retired. She moved back to Brookhaven in 1997.

    Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Neil Bowman; andniece, Laurie Burnett.

    Survivors are her sister, Peggy Castilaw and husband, Proby;nieces, Carolyn Logan and husband, Butch, Angie Spencer andhusband, Bruce and Iris Waldrop and husband, Doyle; cousin, DavidSmith; and many great nieces and nephews.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Little BahalaCemetery Fund, 2845 Turkey Trail, Wesson, MS 39191.
