Funeral services for Jason M. McKean, ofAmite, La., are 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, at McKneely FuneralHome in Amite, La., with burial in Greensburg Cemetery, Greensburg,La. The Rev. Mike Hegwood will officiate.

    Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and onMonday from 8 a.m. until the services at the funeral home.

    Mr. McKean, 40, died Jan. 19, 2012, in St. Mary Parish. He was bornin Hammond, La. on Jan. 14, 1972.

    He was a pilot for Chet Morrison Contractors. As a pilot, Jasonpassed away doing what he loved, and now he has his heavenlywings.

    Preceding him in death was his brother, Jim M. “Jimmy” McKeanIII.

    Survivors are his wife, Karol Prine McKean; daughter, Kaleigh MarieMcKean; son, Jacob Matthew McKean, all of Amite, La.; parents, Jimand Glenda McKean, of Greensburg, La.; four sisters, Lisa McKeanKing and her husband, David, of Colemantown, La., PatriciaBartkowiak and her husband, David, of Magnolia, Texas, BeckieMcKean, of Splendora, Texas, Betty Turner and her husband, Tommy,of Magnolia, Texas; two brothers, Roy McKean and his wife, Jan, ofConroe, Texas, Tommy McKean, of Colmesneil, Texas; father-in-lawand mother-in-law, Don and Kathleen Prine, of Kentwood;sister-in-law, Dondi Rhodus, of Hammond, La.; two brothers-in-law,Kerry Prine and wife, Mikki, of McComb, Daniel Prine, of Hammond,La.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
