Funeral services for Preston Denon “Buddy”Howard, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, at CommunityFuneral Services, with burial in Macedonia Baptist ChurchCemetery.

    Mr. Howard, 60, passed away Jan. 28, 2012, at his home in LincolnCounty with his family at his bedside. He was born on March 3,1951, to James and Lanell Dickerson Howard.

    On July 7, 2011, Mr. Howard retired from Dunaway Logging as a truckdriver where he was known as “Super Fly.”

    Preceding him in death were his parents; mother-in-law, Virginia”Ann” Case; son, Jeffery Lynn Howard; and grandson, Timothy LaytonMalone.

    Survivors are his wife, Brenda Kay Howard, of Brookhaven; children,Kenneth Howard and wife, Jessica, of Florence, Christopher Howard,of Richland, Timothy Malone, of Brookhaven, and Jennifer Davis andhusband, Nathan, of Ruth; siblings, Ann Conrad, Marie Moore, NitaFay Lowery, Sammy Howard, Wayne Howard, and James “Duke” Howard,all of Brookhaven, Thomas Ray Howard, of Bude, and Jim Earl Howard,of Hazlehurst; and seven grandchildren, Haylee Howard, DillonHoward, Triston Howard, Trevor Malone, Hailey Malone, Matthew Davisand Landen Davis and several nieces , nephews and otherrelatives.

    The family gives a special thanks to Pam Case, Ann Conrad, MistyMartin, Mr. Howard’s nurse, Amaryllis Leggett, Angie Davis and Bro.John Smith.
