Funeral services for Myrtle F. Jackson, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, at Stringer Family Funeral Services, with burial in Strong Hope Cemetery.

     Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m., both at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Jackson, 88, died Feb. 22, 2012, at Brook Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Amite County on Aug. 20, 1923, to John Henry and Ena Bradshaw Freeman.

     She was a native of Amite County, where she graduated high school. Mrs. Jackson moved from Amite County to Natchez and lived several years there before moving back to Amite County and later to Copiah County in the 1990s.

     Preceding her in death were her husband of 60 years, Grover Cleveland Jackson; parents; infant sister, Margarete Freeman; and sisters and brothers, Edith Hayes, Otis Freeman, Rex Freeman and Vera Zeegler.

     Survivors are her sons, Gary Wayne Jackson and wife, Rene, of Brookhaven, and Grover Lynn Jackson and wife, Marcia, of Crystal Springs; daughters, Henrietta Jackson Weisinger and husband, Bob, of Wesson, and Janice Sumrall and husband, Horace, of Vidalia, La.; brothers, J.C. Freeman and wife, Jewel Pearl, of Magnolia, and John Douglas Freeman, of Adona, Ark.; sisters, Bonnell Roberts, of Luka, and Ella Dee Zeegler and husband, J.A., of Magnolia; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
