Keith and Jane Johnson of Burnsville, N.C., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Ellington Johnson, to Julian Matthew McMillan.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McMillan of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Sumrall of Cleveland, Miss., and Mr. and Mrs. Clarke Johnson of Indianola, who now reside in Tupelo.

He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Blanton of Livingston, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Campbell of Detroit Lakes, Minn., Anna Prather of Brookhaven, Harold Prather of Meadville, and the late Dewitte McMillan of Centreville.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Mississippi State University and is currently employed with Renasant Bank in Starkville.

The prospective groom will graduate from Mississippi State University in May 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He will be employed with Dow Chemical in Baton Rouge, La.

The couple will exchange vows at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the home of Cecil and Silvia McMillan. A reception will follow at the McMillan home.
