Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Porter of Brookhaven announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Mary Megan ‘Meggie’ Porter, to Donald Tate Warren of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Donald and Judy Warren of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pat Porter of Brookhaven, Mr. and Mrs. William T. Stinson of Jackson, Fla., and the late Mickey R. King and Julie King Baker of Jacksonville.

He is the grandson of Alice Warren and Ruby Crane, both of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Brookhaven High School and East Central Community College. She works in early childhood education in Durham, N.C.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center and Mississippi State University. He is employed with Hoffman Nursery in Rougemont, N.C.

The couple will exchange vows at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012, at the New Orleans Botanical Garden. A reception will follow in the garden.
