Funeral services for Dennis Lee Bowman, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. 

     Mr. Bowman, 60, died March 9, 2012, at his home. He was born in Alabama on Nov. 6, 1951, to Olen Bowman and Velma Lee Campbell.

     He was a logger and pipe fitter and a member of Brookhaven Church of God. He was a devoted husband and loving father. He was a rock for his family, a relentless giver, unselfish, always thinking of others first and a friend to all.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Jenny Lynn Bowman; and brothers, Redus Bowman, M.D. Bowman and Joe Bowman.

     Survivors are his son, Chase Delynn Bowman and fiancé, Azaria Johnson; daughters, Regina Shedd and husband, Barry, and Tasha Walker and husband, Allen; brothers, Clatus Bowman, Rayborn Bowman, R.B. Bowman, Jimmy Bowman, Timmy Bowman and Kenneth Bowman; sisters, Inez Bowman, Annie Alexander, Edna Wilson, Jeanette Green, Ellette Bowman and Bille Joe Fincher; seven grandchildren, Haley Shedd, Tramel Shedd, Paige Shedd, Ashton Sweatman, Savanah Sweatman, Maleigha Bowman and Braylon Bowman; two step-grandcihldren, Brooke and Brett Walker; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
