Mr. and Mrs. Gary L. Jones of Meadville are announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Lindsay Elizabeth Jones, to Johnathon Scott Smith.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Covington of Wesson and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Smith of Mendenhall.

She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norris Ferguson (Dude) Jones Jr. of Meadville, the late George Richard Ramsey of Monterey, La., and Mrs. W.C. Johnson of Roxie.

He is the grandson of Mary Lou Smith and the late John Smith of Brookhaven, Mary Elizabeth Smith of Brookhaven and the late Kermis L. Hutchinson of Silver Creek.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Franklin High School, Copiah-Lincoln Community College and the University of South Alabama, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Sciences, with a concentration in Radiation Therapy.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Brookhaven High School, attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College and is employed by Brookhaven Honda.

The couple will exchange vows at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Monmouth Plantation in Natchez with the Rev. David E. Cox officiating.

A reception will follow the ceremony on the Mississippi River bluffs of Rosalie Mansion.
