Graveside services for Christy Noel Black, of Beaumont, Texas, are 11 a.m. on Monday, March 26, at Carver Heights Cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Sunday from noon until 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

     Ms. Black, 31, died March 19, 2012, at Hermann Memorial Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 25, 1980, to Norman Black Sr. and Wilene Houston Black.

     She was a 1998 graduate of Brookhaven High School, a 2000 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College, and received a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in 2002 and a master’s degree from Mississippi State University in 2004. She attended Mississippi College in 2006, attended Southwest Community College and is a 2010 graduate of Lamar University Institute of Technology.

     Survivors are her parents; siblings, Leduane Black and wife Anya, of Brookhaven, Zachariah Black, of Brookhaven, Dr. Tamecula Black D.C., of Beaumont, Texas, Brenda Ann Harris, of Detroit, Mich., Norman Black Jr., of Detroit, Mich.; aunts, Ruby Wilcher and husband Edgar, Earlene Houston Lenoir, Jenatte Newton and husband Robert, all of Brookhaven, Luberta King, of Lansing, Mich., Laverne McCarthy, of Lansing, Mich.; uncle James Black and wife Rebecca of Detroit, Mich.; cousins Reba Rucks Freeman of Brookhaven, Clarinda Lenoir of Jackson and nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
