Funeral services for Mildred Furr Blackwell, of Brookhaven, are 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, at Union Hall Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Billy Joe Deer will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Sunday from 2 until 4 p.m. at the church.

     Mrs. Blackwell, 82, died March 31, 2012, at her home. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 14, 1929, to Prentice R. and Edna Chutz Furr.

     She was retired from Stahl-Urban Manufacturing Co. and Wal-Mart and was a member of Union Hall Baptist Church.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Charles E. Furr; and son-in-law, Mitchel Jordan.

     Survivors are her daughter, Donnis B. Jordan, of Brookhaven; sister, Ruth Snyder and husband, Chuck, of Brookhaven; step-grandsons, Matt Jordan and Jeff Jordan; sister-in-law, Jean Furr; niece, Michelle Smith and husband, Philip and their children, Cason and Charlie Smith; nephew, Brian Furr; and her beloved dog, Benjamin.
