Funeral services for L.D. Pittman, of Monticello, are 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 21, at Bethany M.B. Church in Jayess, with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Pittman, 72, died April 18, 2012, at his home. He was born on Dec. 18, 1939, to Garfield and Bernice Haynes Pittman.
He was retired and a member of Bethany M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Joe Pittman and Lawyer Pittman; and godson, Charles Brown.
Survivors are his wife, Eria Jacobs Pittman, of Monticello; daughters, Shirley Kitchen and husband, Michael, of McComb, Peggy Thomas and husband, Tony, of Brookhaven, Lawanda Pittman and husband, Frank, of Monticello, and Michelle Brown, of Brookhaven; brothers, the Rev. Garlee Pittman and wife, Brenda, of Brookhaven, Aaron Pittman Sr., of Monticello, Daniel Pittman and wife, Navlean, of Monticello, James R. Pittman and wife, Mary, of Monticello, L.H. Pittman and wife, Juanita, of Monticello, David Pittman, of Moss Point, and Paul Pittman and wife, Johnnie Pearl, of Jayess; sisters, Ethel Pittman Jacobs, of Moss Point, Helen Brown and husband, Willie, of Moss Point, Clara Pittman, of Monticello, Beverly Watkins, of Monticello, and Carrie Pittman and husband, Dennis, of Monticello; sisters-in-law, Clara Levy, and husband, Charlie, of Pascagoula, and Joann Hollins, of Moss Point; godson, John Brown; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
