Funeral services for John H. McCoy Sr., of Smithdale, are 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 23, at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, with burial in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Smithdale.

     Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

     Mr. McCoy, 80, died April 20, 2012, in Amite County. He was born in Jefferson Parrish, La. on May 30, 1931, to George W. and Ida Mae Walley McCoy.

     He was a retired self-employed glass man and upholsterer. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Bobbye Rae Kirkland McCoy; son, David Warren McCoy; daughter, Dana Elaine McCoy; and brothers, George W. McCoy and Charles McCoy.

     Survivors are his sons, John H. McCoy Jr. and wife, Pam, of Hammond, La., and Douglas Wayne McCoy and wife, Kim, of Brookhaven; daughter, Tamra “Tami” McCoy Rogers and husband, Dennis, of Marrero, La.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
