Funeral services for Alfia A. Bullock, of Ruth, were 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Bullock, 89, died May 3, 2012, at Silver Cross Home. She was born in Mississippi on Nov. 1, 1922, to A.C. and Mary Pate.
She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Alfia was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother. All her life she devoted her time to do for and take care of others. Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was what she loved most of all. Alfia will be missed by many.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, J.L. Bullock; brothers, L.M. Pate, Jack Pate, AC Pate, Henry Pate and Buck Pate; and sisters, Lucy Free, Alma Bullock and Evelyn Brister.
Survivors are her son, Ronnie Bullock and wife, Sharon, of Ruth; daughter, Sheila Jennings and husband, John, of Kentwood, La.; six grandchildren, Amy Henry, Amanda Bullock, Tammi Thornhill, and Chris, Billy and Alan Reeves; and seven great-grandchildren.
