Graveside services for the Rev. John D. Alexander, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Monday, May 14, at Riverwood Memorial Park. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Alexander, 89, died May 11, 2012, at Camellia Estates in McComb. He was born on June 29, 1922, to Dr. Verner and Ethel McClain Alexander.

     He was a retired Baptist minister and a member of Southway Baptist Church. He was also retired from the Mississippi Baptist Convention Board.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Helen Vickery Alexander; one brother, Howell Alexander; and one sister, Doris Wilson.

     Survivors are his sons, Bobby Joe Alexander and wife, Deena, of Brookhaven, and John Verner Alexander and wife, Virginia, of Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
