Funeral services for Lucille Honea Townsend, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Sontag.

     Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Townsend, 89, died May 24, 2012, at Golden Living Center – Brook Manor. She was born in Mississippi on May 16, 1923, to Tom and Myrtis Evans Honea.

     She was a retired bookkeeper at Holiday Inn and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bob Townsend; and two brothers.

     Survivors are her son, Melvin Lester Boutwell and wife, Patricia, of Brookhaven; sister, Elma Dykes, of Brookhaven; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
