Bonnie Ruth Hill Nelson Hearn, age 94, passed away on June 1, 2012 with her children at her bedside. She was born in Lawrence County on May 28, 1918.

     She was preceded in death by her husbands Ernest “Jack” Nelson and Ralph Hearn; her parents Miles O. Hill and Nora Rebecca Hill; brothers Conley Hill and Gene Hill. She is survived by her sisters Donis Lambert, Opal Leggett and Zelda Davis; her children Charles (LaDonn) Nelson, Pat (Katherine) Nelson, Melanie (Ricky) Sykes and Milan Nelson; grandchildren Brandi Nelson, Beaver (Stephanie) Nelson, Candace (Jason) Sandifer, Claire (Kevin) Hick, Julie Nelson, Dale Murphy (Tara) Sykes; great grandchildren Jack Grady Nelson, Katie Rose Nelson, Kennedy Sandifer, Abby Sandifer, Kevin Hick Jr., Ragan Beth Bullock and Blake Bullock.

   Services will be held on June 4 in Monticello at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Joey Faulk and Bro. Tim McCaffery officiating. Pallbearers are Wendell Lambert, Tony Davis, Beaver Nelson, Mo Davis, Dale Murphy Sykes, and Glen Weeks. Honorary pallbearers are Craig Davis, Joe Hill, Vince Lambert, James Leggett, Frank Leggett, Ricky Sykes, Jason Sandifer and the Stewards of the Methodist Protestant Church.
