WESSON – Gordon West of  Brookhaven made history Tuesday, scoring his first hole-in-one. The long-awaited ace arrived on the 100-yard 14th hole at the Wolf Hollow Golf Club. He used a Knock Down pitching wedge.

     West has been playing golf for 48 years.

     Witnessing the milestone were Gene Wilson, Scotty Oberschmidt and Mel Dye. It happened during Tuesday’s Senior Scramble at Wolf Hollow.
