A coin worth $25 in merchandise at the B.E. Brister & Co’s Store was used by workers at the B.E. Brister Sawmill in Bogue Chitto in the late 1800s. This coin was unearthed by the Rev. Mitchell E. Redd, while he was renovating his parents’ house in Bogue Chitto.
