Funeral services for David Talmadge Smith of Brookhaven were 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.

     Mr. Smith, 66, died July 5, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Mississippi on Sept. 22, 1945, to Claude B. Smith and Emily C. Smith.

     Mr. Smith was a logger and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, Roger Smith; and a great-niece, Kimberly Faye Lofton.

     Survivors include his brothers, Ladale Smith, Kenneth Smith and Shaffier Smith; nieces, Rita Cook and husband, Roy, Nita Redditt and husband, Brad; and great-niece, Alexis Lee Cook.
