Funeral services for Edna Mae Herring King, of Monticello, were 2 p.m. on Monday, July 9, at Wilson Funeral Home, with burial in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

     Mrs. King, 83, died July 7, 2012, at her home. She was born on June 26, 1929, to Jodie and Mandy Drummonds Herring.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John Paul King; sister, Mary Langoria; and brothers, Alford Herring, Eugene Herring and Joe Paul Herring.

     Survivors are her daughter, Amanda King Thames and husband, Pete, of Monticello; son, John Michael King and wife, Tammy, of Monticello; brother, Clifton Herring, of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Brandy Spicer, Michael Thames, Stephanie Dickerson, April Speights, Elisha King, John Allen Thames, John Michael King Jr. and Rebecca Waters; and 19 great-grandchildren.
