Douglas Roy Baskin age 77, of Thomasville, Ala., died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at his home. He was born Oct. 16, 1934 in Minneapolis. He was a retired service station owner and was an active Jehovah’s Witness for the last 54 years.

     He is survived by his wife, Mary Martha Baskin of Thomasville, Ala.; three sons, Brian (Amy) Baskin of Jackson, Andre’ (Lori) Baskin of Mobile, Ala., and Gabriel (Rachel) Baskin of New Albany; a daughter, Kimberly (Wayne) Faust of Thomasville, Ala.; sister, Karen (Bill) Jessen of San Marcos, Calif.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

     Memorial services will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1 p.m.
