Funeral services for Hilda Marie Boyd Lewis, of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 5, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery.

     Mrs. Lewis, 75, died August 3, 2012, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Brookhaven on August 9, 1936 to Leon A. Boyd and Lena Marie Jordan Boyd.

     She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ.

     Mrs. Lewis was a graduate of Enterprise High School and Draughon’s Business College in Jackson. She retired in 2003 from Liberty National Insurance Company and previously worked at Tower Loans, State Bank and Trust Company, Lott Furniture Company, Combined Insurance, National Motor Club as well as other sales positions. She won many awards and trips trough her sales profession.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, Leon and Lena Boyd; her step-mother, Lala Mae Boyd; her mother and father-in-law, Pearl and James Webster Lewis; her sisters-in-law, Ruby Boyd and Andra Lewis; her brothers-in-law, Tom Brown, Carlton Brown, Larry Lewis and David Allen.

     Survivors are her husband, Nollie D. Lewis; daughters, Cathy Lewis Britt and Chuck, Debbie Lewis Britt, Lisa Lewis Jarancik and husband, Mike; brothers, Harold Francis Boyd, Robert Earl Boyd and wife, Belle; sisters Helen Brown and Beatrice Allen; brothers-in-law James M. Lewis and wife, Jeanne, Maxie Lewis, Steve Lewis and wife, Sherry; sisters-in-law Bonnie Brown and Carolyn Roberts; her ten grandchildren, Dewayne Smith, Brad Britt and wife, Kristy, Jimmy Britt and wife, Noami, Laura Britt and fiancé, Joseph McKay, Leah Britt, Lydia Britt, Lacey Orr, Landon Case and wife, Megan, Philip Jarancik and wife, Megan, Christopher Jarancik and Katie; and seven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins that were special to her.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Ministries of Brookhaven, 397 Brookhaven Street, Brookhaven, Mississippi 39601. Mrs. Lewis’ family wants to thank Hospice Ministries for all their loving care and support during this time of need.
