Memorial services for Brian LeRoy Emerson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

     Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mr. Emerson, 54, died Aug. 5, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Mississippi on April 5, 1958.

     He worked as an electrician for Brown Electric and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

     Preceding him in death were his father, John Louis Emerson; sister, Jamie Gibson; grandfather, Herman Bowman; and grandmother, Elsie Bowman.

     Survivors are his wife, Pam Bowman Emerson; mother, Katrina Bowman Jackson; son, Dustin Cody Emerson and wife, Brittany Loftin, of Brookhaven; daughter, Christi Phillips Fortado, of Brookhaven; brother, Tommy Gibson and wife, Vicki, of Brookhaven; sisters, Becky Townsend and husband, Robert, of Arizona, and Donna Franks and husband, Craig, of San Andreas, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Dalton August Fortado (13), Rylan Chandler Fortado (9) and Easton Raiford Emerson (1).
