Funeral services for Olene James Brown, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, at Clear Branch Baptist Church in Wesson, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Sunday from 1 until 2 pm. at the church.

     Mrs. Brown, 88, died Aug. 16, 2012, at Golden Living Center – Brook Manor. She was born in Brookhaven on March 8, 1924, to Ed and Francis Prine James

     She was a member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; and all of her siblings.

     Survivors are her husband, the love of her life on this earth, Burnell Brown, to whom she was married for 71 years; sons, Winston Burnell Brown and wife, Liz, and Ricky Lynn Brown and wife, Debbie; daughter, Donna Brown Wooten and husband, Howard; 18 grandchildren, Nay Thornhill and husband, Tim, Winky Brown and wife, Tracy, Brenda Orr and husband, Troy, Blake Brown, Christopher Brown and Danielle Brown, all of Brookhaven, Joey Brown, of Laurel, Michelle Barnett and husband, Kevin, of Madison, Kevin Wooten and wife, Kimberly, of Tupelo, Shay Brown and wife, Maria, of Hattiesburg, and Devin Glover and husband, Currin, of Wesson; and 17 great-grandchildren.

     The family gives a special thank you to Hospice Ministries; Golden Living Center; caregiver, Darlene Wilcher; pastors, the Rev. Wayne Moak and the Rev. Mike Britt; and members of Clear Branch Baptist Church.

     Memorials may be made to Clear Branch Baptist Church Building Fund.
