Funeral services for Charles D. Lofton, of McCall Creek, were 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Ramah Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Lofton, 80, died Aug. 18, 2012, at G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Franklin County on March 30, 1932, to Walter Lee and Eula Mae Blount Lofton.

     He was retired from Keystone Wire and Cloth Maintenance Department and was a retired boilermaker. Mr. Lofton was a member of Ramah Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers; and a daughter, Shirley Jean Lofton Todd.

     Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Joyce Marie Bardwell Lofton; sons, Charles “Dewey” Lofton Jr., Barry “Jason” Lofton and David C. Lofton; sister, Maxine Lofton Brown, of Natchez; grandchildren, Lacey Myers, Susan Todd, Jessica Lofton, Lyndsy Lofton, Karlie Lofton, Sheri Johnson, Brad Pickett and wife, Rachelle Daniel Lofton, Kris Todd, Ethan Lofton and Gage Lofton; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Jase Pickett, Kaden and Georgia Grace O’Neal, Jacob White, Braylynn Lofton, Charlie Musgrove and Olivia Musgrove; special, close and loving friend, Charmin Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.
