Funeral services for Carolyn Ward Warren, of Wesson, are 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.

     Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Warren, 89, died Sept. 4, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Mississippi on Sept. 26, 1922, to James Homer and Mamye Shamburger Ward.

     She worked at Lofton’s Department Store and was a lifetime member and the oldest member of Mission Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Warren was a member of the Eastern Star, LLL, Women’s Auxiliary of VFW, Wesson Lions Club and American Legion.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; spouses, Kenneth N. Lovette and Alton Warren; and sister, Marie Ward Gaston.

     Survivors are her son, James K. Lovette and wife, Kathryn Davis Lovette; daughter, Shirley A. Lovette Magee and husband, Harley; sisters, Pauline Ward Sistrunk and Betty Jo Ward Peters and husband, Howard G. Peters Jr.; brother-in-law, John Gaston; three grandchildren, Cindy Magee McLain, Stacy Magee White, and Michelle Lovette Kelly and husband, Jonathan; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; niece, Debbie Barker; nephews, Samuel Ward Gaston and Howard G. Peters III; very special friend, Kelly Harrison; faithful friend, Lenny; and lifelong friends, Alyene Taylor and Thelma Haley.
