Funeral services for Tib Dykes, of Sontag, were 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Sontag, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Dykes, 81, died Oct. 6, 2012, at his home. He was born in Kokomo on Oct. 8, 1930, to Houston and Eliza Jane Wilson Dykes.

     He was retired from road construction and reforestation. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Janie A. Dykes; four brothers; and three sisters.

     Survivors are his sons, Charles Dykes Sr. and wife, Jewel, of Topeka, Glenn Dykes and wife, Gwen, of Sontag, and Wayne Dykes, of Sontag; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
