Hulus Weemes Hall

Funeral services for Hulus Weemes Hall, of Bogue Chitto, are 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 15, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.

     Mr. Hall, 85, died Oct. 12, 2012, at his home. He was born in Mississippi on Dec. 9, 1926, to Bennie Hall Sr. and Clara Hall.

     He was a farmer and a member of Moaks Creek Baptist Church.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Pauline Roberts Hall; daughter, Patricia Bassenette and infant daughter; five brothers, Prentiss Hall, Larry Hall, John Henry Hall, Bennie Hall Jr. and Ira Lee Hall; and four sisters, Tillithia Moak, Mamie Pat Jennings, Mamie Jane Hall and Nancy Peyregne.

     Survivors are his sons, Paul Hall and Billy Hall, of Bogue Chitto; brothers, Neal Hall, Jimmy “Jim Bo” Hall, both of Bogue Chitto, and Quincy Hall, of Brookhaven; stepbrother, John Hugh Mathis, of Brookhaven; sisters, Essie McCaa, of Meadville, Bennie Lou Blakeney, of Ferriday, La., Earlene Carlisle, of McComb, Rita Hall, Gloria Mercier, Martha Avants, all of Bogue Chitto, Darlene Williams, of Brookhaven, and Hattie Morris, of Saraland, Ala.
