Odis L. Foster

Odis L. Foster, 83, was born on March 15, 1929 in Brookhaven to Odis and Ophelia Foster. He went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012.
He married Aline Allbritton Foster in 1949 in Brookhaven. They were married for 63 years. They moved to Houston in 1952 where he worked for Hughes and New Tool Co. for 25 years. He retired from Hughes Tool Co. and owned and rented many apartment complexes for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy Foster; brother, Charles Foster; sister, Pearl Kimble; granddaughter, Kliene Foster; brother-in-law, Archie Allbritton; mother-in-law, Icie Allbritton; and father-in-law, Jim Allbritton.
He is survived by his wife, Aline Foster; daughter, Jean Burkhalter; grandsons, Robert Legg and wife, Jinnie, and Jack Burkhalter and wife, Tillie; great-grandsons, Sheldon Legg and Logan Burkhalter; sister, Pauline Davis; brother, James “PeeWee” Foster; brother-in-law, Bob Allbritton and wife, Martha; sister-in-law, Nita Allbritton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
His service was held at Earthman Resthaven Chapel, Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, in Houston, with internment in Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
