Bennie Frank Wilson

Mr. Wilson, 85, of Brookhaven, died on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at his residence. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, followed with a private burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Dr. Ron Kitchens will officiate.

     Mr. Wilson was born, Benjamin Franklin Wilson, on Jan. 29, 1927, in McComb. He was the son of Benjamin Beeson (B.B.) and Lexie Kyzar Wilson.

     Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged with the rank of Master Sergeant. Known to all as Bennie, he worked in the oil and gas industry; 28 years with W.L. Somner Co. in Shreveport, La. and Brookhaven, and retired from Mid-South Compressors in Columbia.

     Bennie was a member of Jackson Street United Methodist Church.

     Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Virginia (Jean) Case Wilson; son, Philip F. Wilson; daughter, Karyl W. McGraw and husband, Herman, all of Brookhaven; sister, Kathryn (Kitty) Hensarling and husband, Kin; granddaughter, Sarah M. Spring and husband, Justin, of McCall Creek; and three great-granddaughters, Madelyn, Isabella, and Abigail Spring of McCall Creek.

     The family would like to thank all the staff of Hospice Ministries for their excellent care; special thanks to Ann Weeks, Angie Davis, Angela Edwards, Amaryllis Leggett, Dion Taylor, Bro Ron Ballard and Johnnie Smith for all the loving care and comfort during the past 10 months.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries, 397 Brookhaven St., Brookhaven, MS, 39601.
