Funeral services for Ruth Clara Smith Pritchard, of Union Church, are 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at Union Church Baptist Church, with burial in Union Church Cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.

     Mrs. Pritchard, 93, died Nov. 20, 2012, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Meadville. She was born on June 30, 1919, to Willis U. and Clara O. Martin Smith.

     She was a retired cafeteria manager for Houston I.S.D. and a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. Mrs. Pritchard was a faithful and dedicated member of the Union Church Baptist Church.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, H.O. Pritchard; and nine brothers and sisters.

     Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Claire Pritchard, of Houston; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Ray Shotwell, of Humble, Texas; grandson and wife, Mike and Beth Pritchard, of Conroe, Texas; granddaughter, Rayeleen Holston, of Cleveland, Texas; sister and husband, Jewell and J.C. Davis, of Lake View, Ark.; five great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons; two great-great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson; a number of nieces and nephews; devoted caregiver, Nell Ashley; and loving friend, Bertha Varnado.
