Funeral services for Wessie Irene Blackwell Jordan are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service chapel with burial in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery.

     Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Jordan, 95, died Nov. 26, 2012, at her residence. She was born on March 26, 1917, in Lincoln County to John Aaron Blackwell and Nora Berry Blackwell.

     She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James Troy Jordan; her son, James Jewell Jordan; her brothers, Clifton, Ralph, Felix and Dudley Blackwell; and her sisters, Christine Walls and Lucille DeLaughter.

     Survivors include her sons, Darryl Dean Jordan and his wife, Nancy Reeves Jordan, and Carlos L. Jordan and his wife, Sherry Johnston Jordan; her daughters, Jeanette Jordan Knight and her husband, Carl Knight, Elaine Withers Nettles and her husband, Lester D. Nettles, and Alma Jordan Kimble and her husband, Wayne Kimble; her brother, Lynwood Blackwell; her sisters, Annie Ruth Fryer, Billie George and her husband, Debby George, and Francis Adams and her husband, Oscar Adams; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchldren; a special niece and caregiver, Wanda Gay Hewitt Brewer.
