BA hammers Simpson Academy

The Brookhaven Academy Cougars were the most dominant feline Tuesday night as they defeated the Simpson Academy Cougars 50-33 at John R. Gray Gymnasium.

     BA continues action Thursday. They host the Oak Forest Yellow Jackets for four games. Junior high action starts at 4 p.m. The varsity girls tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the boys.

     BA had three players reach double figures. Zac Smith led the charge with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Will Hickman fueled the flames with 14 points. Matthew Evans netted 10 points. Gage Posey was the leader on the boards with 8 rebounds.

     “We did a good job with our pass and catch on offense,” said BA coach Dale Watts. “We still need to finish on some of our shot selections.”

     Walt Prince was the offensive leader for Simpson Academy with 9 points.
