Funeral Services for Shirley Annie-Ruth Tillotson Graves, 74, of Deville, La.

     Mrs. Graves passed on Wednesday Dec. 12, 2012, after a long battle with her health, at her home 141 Varvarosky Road Deville, La. 71328.

     The visitation hours will be held at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven on Dec. 13 from 4 until 8 p.m. Funeral ceremony and burial will be held at New Salem Baptist Church on Friday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. 

     She was born Dec. 5, 1938, in McCall Creek and graduated from West Lincoln High School in 1956. She married Nov. 30, 1957. She worked in the medical field at Rapides General Hospital for 19 1/2 years and medically retired in 1996.

     She is the daughter of the late Grady Henry Tillotson and Katie Dickey Tillotson.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Jerry Tillotson and Alton Tillotson and a sister: Alice Tillotson Cater.

     Survivors include her loving husband: Retired US Air Force Tech Sergeant: Reuben Humphrey (Dempsey) Graves. Her 3 children: Katie Graves Taylor, John Melvin Graves and Gary Michael Graves. 1 Brother: Vincent Tillotson. 8 Grandchildren: Joshua Keele, Christopher Keele, Richard Keele, Justin Keele, Jessica Graves Craver, Janine Graves, Giovonna Graves and Tyler Graves. 3 Step-Grandchildren: Mackenzie Craven, Logan Craven and Neely Craven.  5 Great-grandchildren: Joel Keele, Conner Wilhite, Landon Graves, Kileigh Craver and Braelyn Craver.
