Funeral services for Julia Maxine Day, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive, with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

     Visitation is Wednesday from 2 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Day, 88, died Dec. 17, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born in Jayess on Dec. 22, 1923, to Bart and Ruby Lee Russell Alexander.

     She was a homemaker and a member of Easthaven Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; and husband, Glen Day.

     Survivors are her son, Billy Glen Day, of Amite, La.; sister, Elsie Lane, of Vidalia, La.; and two grandchildren, Cindy Alexander, of Metairie, La., and Randall Glen Day, of Brookhaven.
