Enterprise boys notch victory over Crusaders

DEXTER – The Enterprise Yellow Jackets captured a 33-26 victory over the Sacred Heart Crusaders Saturday in Dexter’s three-day Christmas Tournament.

     In other results, the Jackets were thumped 70-36 by West Marion Thursday and fell to the Wilkinson County Wildcats 59-14 in Friday action.

     Enterprise will enjoy the rest of the holiday before resuming action Tuesday, Jan. 8, hosting the Bassfield Yellowjackets for 3 games. The junior varsity boys tip off the action at 5 p.m.

Enterprise 33, Sacred Heart 26

     Junior guard Dylan Furr pumped in a game-high 12 points to lead the Jackets (7-12). Junior guard Ethan Newman netted a double-double of 10 points and 19 rebounds.

     Sam Rosa and Dominick Hill were the offensive leaders for the Crusaders with 8 points apiece.

W. Marion 70, Enterprise 36

     The Trojans had three players score in double figures. Cleve Lewis directed the charge with a game-high 22 points. Chris Starks and Jamaar Cole contributed 15 points apiece.

     Junior center Forrest Scott paced the Jackets with a team-high 12 points. Newman powered the board with 6 rebounds.

Wilkinson Co. 59, Enterprise 14

     Patrick Scott was the top scorer for Enterprise with 4 points. Newman led on the boards with 6 rebounds.
