Funeral services for Dorthula “Dot” Anita Furr, of Wesson, are 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with burial in Little Bahalia Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.

     Visitation is Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Furr, 81, died Jan. 2, 2013, at Countrybrook Living Center. She was born in Brookhaven on June 8, 1931, to O.C. and Ruth Yawn Herring.

     She worked 17 years with Farm Bureau as a woman chairman. She was a member of Little Bahalia Baptist Church, where she played the piano for 32 years. Mrs. Furr was also a homemaker.

     Preceding her in death were her parents; sons, Virgil, Randy and Wayne Furr; and two grandchildren, Bubba and Christie.

     Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Hilton Furr; son, Mack and wife, Lisa, of Costa Rica; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

     Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.
