The Bears (23-2, 7-0) roared to a lopsided 57-23 halftime lead over the Greenies. That allowed Coach Lane Young to substitute earlier than usual.

Cathedral was led by R.J. Givens who scored 15 points and James Coley who netted 11.

The Lady Bears (4-15, 3-6) only made 6 of 48 field goal attempts in the disappointing setback. Nine points by Destiny Allen led them in scoring.

“You can’t beat anybody shooting like that,” said Coach Young. His girls went scoreless in the third quarter.

Cathedral got 9 points from Sarah Beth Willard.
