Funeral services for Gerald Thames Magee are 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, at Faith Presbyterian Church, with burial in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Prentiss. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Magee, 68, died Feb. 1, 2013 at his home. He was born in Mississippi on Oct. 10, 1944, to Burl Thames Magee and Nelda Stamps Magee.

He was a graduate of Prentiss High School, Tulane University and The University of Southern Mississippi. He was an engineer at Delphi-Packard. Mr. Magee was First Commander of USM Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church where he was a deacon and Elder Emeritus, chairman of the Christian Education Committee when kindergarten was established, chairman of the building committee when the education annex was built, member of the search committee, Sunday school teacher and small group leader. Mr. Magee served in the U.S. Army National Guard.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister, Delores Magee Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Sue Magee; daughters, Mary Margaret Magee Allbritton of Brookhaven, and Melissa Ann Magee Thrasher and husband, Jody, of Montgomery, Ala.; sister, Barbara Magee Milton; and three grandchildren, Jon Allbritton, Meg Allbritton and Lillian Allbritton and expected twins, Reynolds and Mae Magee Thrasher.
