Funeral services for Marva Gayle Randall Rutland of Wesson are 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at Mission Hill Baptist Church in Wesson, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tommy Purvis and her grandson, the Rev. Thomas Alan Lusk will officiate. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Rutland, 83, died Feb. 4, 2013 at Silver Cross Home. She was born in Wesson on April 4, 1929 to Charles Lee Randall and Lula McMillan Randall.

She worked for Potter Company and Stahl Urban, but most of her time was spent being a homemaker. Mrs. Rutland was a member of Mission Hill Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and one brother.

Survivors are her husband of 59 plus years, Quin Burdette Rutland; daughters, Brenda Gayle Rutland Lusk and husband, Thomas W., and Sonia Dale Rutland Henry and husband, John D.; four grandchildren, Thomas Alan Lusk and wife, Rebecca Dawn Lusk, Dianna Gayle Quirk and husband, Scott Holden Quirk, Erica Lee Henry and Luke Hampton Henry; and five great-grandchildren, Cooper Andrew Lusk, Thomas Quinn Lusk, Kate McKenna Lusk, Brinley Hope Quirk and Ainsley Grace Quirk.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mission Hill Baptist Church, 2409 Mission Hill Road NE, Wesson, MS 39191.
