Several large pine trees lie uprooted Monday on the yard of a G.W. Smith Road residence in rural Lawrence County. High winds hit the area around 3:45 p.m. Sunday, leaving trees down and causing some structural damage, but no injuries, according to Robert Patterson, Lawrence County civil defense director.
