CHOCTAW – The Collins Lady Tigers eliminated the Franklin County Lady Bulldogs Thursday night from the Class 3A South State Playoffs with a 36-29 win.

FCHS, coached by Chris Jordan finishes the season 14-9 overall.

Crystal Flowers led Collins with a game-high 12 points that cooled Franklin County’s bid for an upset of the Region 8-3A champions.

The Lady Tigers led 11-8 after one quarter of action and increased their lead to 21-11 at halftime.

Collins kept up its double-digit lead in the second half, until a late Franklin County rally fell short.

Leading Franklin County in the losing effort were seniors Kiarra Sykes with nine points and Latroya Griffin with seven points.
