A double by Braxton Foster and a single by Lane Boyd directed Enterprise’s 6-hit attack. Hunter Waldrop, Max Miller and Josh Hardin singled.

“It wasn’t pretty but we got a win,” said Enterprise coach Cass Brister. “We did what we had to do to get a win.

“We had a great pitching performance from Cole Jackson,” Brister noted. “He was lights out.”

Marshall Parrish was the losing pitcher. Timothy Harper had the only hit for the Crusaders.

Kyle Lancaster (6 K, 7 BB) scattered 7 hits and Lumberton edged the Jackets, plating the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth. Dylan Smith (5K, 6BB) absorbed the loss.

“Too many mental and physical errors cost us,” said Coach Brister. “And that’s my fault. I must get us better prepared.

“I was proud of the way our kids fought back in the game,” added Brister. “They played hard but we just came up short.”

Enterprise was led by Foster who singled twice and doubled. Hardin, Smith, Boyd and Austin Fuller singled.

Logan Crider singled twice for Lumberton.
