BHS netters lose to Vikes

VICKSBURG – The Warren Central Vikings defeated Brookhaven 4-3 on a cold, windy Thursday afternoon in varsity tennis action. The Panthers realized victories by Braxton Hinton in boys singles, Madison Currie in girls singles and Chantel Quarles and Kim Smalley in No. 1 girls doubles.

BHS will host Columbia Tuesday at 4 p.m., at Brookhill Tennis Center. On Wednesday, they host Richland at 4 p.m. at Brookhill.

Hinton and Currie both won in straight sets. Quarles and Smalley also prevailed in straight sets,, 6-1, 6-3.
