Funeral services for Cloyce Mack May of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Monday, March 4, at New Prospect Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Natchez Drive and Monday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. May, 90, passed away on March 2, 2013, at his home. He was born in Brookhaven on July 29, 1922, to John Sidney May and Sarah Dunn May.

He was an installer/repairman for 35 years with Southern Bell Co. Out of high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He served in the Pacific Campaign, first on an aircraft carrier and later a destroyer. In 1946, he went to work for the telephone company until his retirement in 1981.

He was a beloved member of New Prospect Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon. He loved the Lord and his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Royce May and John E. May; and two sisters, Theda Stephens and Anita Maples.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Lee Britt May; daughter, Peggy May of Brookhaven; son, Mack Randall May and wife, Claire, of Hermanville; grandchildren, Chris Fauver and wife, Krissy, of Austin, Texas, Cary Fauver and wife, Angel, of Mobile, Ala., Kevin Fauver and wife, Toni, of Brookhaven, Rebecca Melancon and husband, Ryan, of Lake Charles, La., and Daniel May of Brandon; brother, William E. May; two sisters, Freddie Miller and Patricia Harrell; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
